		<description>I JUST bought my first bike for NYC biking-with-traffic today.  I was looking online for biking laws and came across your blog.  I, too, just received a Masters from Hunter and I&#039;m also from Erie!!  How strange is that?
I have to say, riding down Steinway Street is not that same as riding to McDowell...not sure how I&#039;m going to get used to that.

Zelf zit ik ook altijd meteen gewoon op de fiets en in NYC was het heel bijzonder. 
Grappig dat ze daar nu zoveel bike lanes hebben die door een fietser met helm worden aangeven. Typisch dat er hier in Holland niemand op de (heren) fiets zit in het fietspad logo !

I guess my whole point is that bike commuting is not necessarily a sweaty activity.  Granted, this may not be the case for everyone, but I personally don&#039;t sweat when I bike at low speeds.    There are probably others out there like me.  I&#039;d like to encourage people to give it a try, and find out for themselves.</description>
